About the app
Broxy is a local MCP proxy. It gives your clients a single MCP endpoint while it connects to multiple downstream MCP servers behind the scenes.
What Broxy does
- Aggregates tools, prompts, and resources from all enabled servers.
- Filters that capability set using a preset so clients only see what they need.
- Routes every call to the correct server based on the server id prefix.
Why it is useful
- You only configure your clients once, even if you use many servers.
- Presets let you switch tool sets quickly without touching client configs.
- Large server capability lists are reduced to a task-focused view.
What Broxy does not do
- It does not replace MCP servers. You still run or connect to those servers.
- It does not store data for the servers you connect to.
Mental model
Think of Broxy as a smart router:
- It collects capabilities from servers.
- It applies a preset to build a filtered view.
- It serves that view to clients and forwards calls to the right server.
